Designated Bureaucracy Day

Filed under: thinkingness, drudgery

Tomorrow, the middle day of my week off from work, is my designated bureaucracy day. It is the day I shall finish my application to get into UNSW to finish my teaching degree. It is also the day I shal send of my application for advanced standing to UNE, which I applied for in case I don’t get into UNSW. It is also the day that I shall apply for 3 substantive APS 4 positions at my current place of employment, applications which should be easy as the positions are largely the same and have the same selection criteria. Sure, there are only five things to do, and a whole day to do them in, but they are five bureaucratic things, dealing with some of the oldest bureacracies in Australia - the public service, the postal service, the universities - so it’ll probably take a lot longer.

little pretty decisions

Filed under: circus

Its almost 3pm and I’ve got to make a bunch of decisions, but I’m feeling indecisive. Have been since I woke up a 1pm. I’ve been hanging out all quiet in my bedroom, trying to decide if I should go out and say hello to the friends my flatmate brought home last night cuz their places are further from oxford st than ours. Trying to decide what I should wear, If I should go get food, if I should make food here. What should I do with the rest of my day, the rest of my money? Should I stop hiding? All little decisions, but its nice staying in my room when its all cleaned up and the temperature is actually pleasent.

little pretty photo

So tonight, instead of going to the pub this evening, and the going dancing later on, I’m staying at home and fiddling on my computer and watching almost famous. This is because I’m not feeling well tonight. I guess its one of those times that my body has decided that its going to conck out for a bit because I have this week off work and there’s no pressure to be doing or keeping up with anything. Still, it sucks. I’d much rather be out enjoying myself.

So as part of my project to entertain myself I transferred my photos from my camera to my computer. Here is the view from my balcony. I was experimenting with the night mode.

*hugz*

I think the worst thing about not being in a relationship is that sometimes you just need a hug from someone who loves you in that kind of way, a hug to just make you feel better cuz you’re feeling down about nothing in particular.

I’m one of five daily finalists in the sculpture by the sea photo competition. The prizes for the winner include a photo printer and a new mobile phone. I hope I win, I’d like a new phone.

Here is my photo;

Isn’t it great?
