My christmas turned out to be one of those terribly cliched events, where you travel a long way to argue with your family. Thankfully i had plans to go away for new years, so I got to leave the family christmas after lunch. Hazzah! My haul this year consisted of some alco-ma-hol, which is useful, some papiya scented soap, and a photoframe. Great.
But now, now I am once again blogging from the Winsome in Lismore, formally Lismore’s only gay pub. Now lismore has no gay pubs, although it seems the out of town queers can’t be bothered going anywhere else. At least one of the computer terminals still works
We drove up over two day, staying last night in Dorrigo, which was thoroughly lovely. We went bush walking at 8am this morning, and saw what we now consider to be a Padamelon. I also have some cool video of a brush turkey, which I shall post later. After that was the last leg of our drive, and deciding not to go back down the 13km windy cliff road to coffs harbour, we decided on the back way to grafton, which featured a 48km windy cliff road. Of course, none of the maps mentioned this. Still it was very pretty, when it wasn’t terrifying.
And now we are fully ensconced in our cabin, with internal toilet and shower. And while we pretty much backed up our entire apartment and brought it with us, somehow we are not the gayest cabin in the caravan park. No, the privilege is reserved for the Gay-A-Y Gay bois in the cabin across the way, who’ve been playing loud dance music since 3pm. Go them
